Kayla Gragg

worldxtreme@comcast.net

Kayla is 18 years old and currently a cheerleader at World Xtreme on the Senior level 4 team. She has cheered for 14 years with recreational, school, and all-star experience. She is one of our coaches for our Mini level 2 team and coaches classes from cheer 1 to cheer 2.

Kayla has recently graduated for Lovejoy High School with a GPA of 3.6! She plans to attend Clayton State University to study music for the next two years. She then plans to move to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont Univesity.

Kayla is not only talented in the cheerleading world, but she is also an amazing singer! She made it to the 2nd round in American Idol! She dreams to become a famous country singer very soon! We wish her only the best!

"I love to teach children everything I know about tumbling and cheerleading! It is a big part of my life and I want to pass these experiences on to more children. It has tought me about respect, responsibility, and communication. Without this sport, I would not be who I am today!"

Mindi Beatenbough

worldxtreme@comcast.net

Mindi Beatenbough is the Co Owner with her brother Wes Smithey and husband Allen. The three of them wanted to open a facility where the motto of “Putting the children first” and “No child left behind” wasn’t just a saying. They purchased the gym on Mindi’s birthday (May 4th) in 2004. What a gift! When we purchased the gym we had fewer than 200 kids enrolled. Since then we have increased our enrollment to over 500 kids in one year. She owes this to a great staff that is dedicated not only to their job but also to making sure the children in our program reach their goals and to her family for putting up with her long days and nights at the gym during that first year.

Mindi and Allen are the parents of 3 wonderful children.

  • Kayla (17) cheers for Senior All Star Vipers
  • Bryce (8)  takes classes at the gym
  • Brett (22) works at Delta Airlines and coaches at World Xtreme

Mindi brings over 21 years of management and accounting experience to World Xtreme. She also has over 8 years experience coaching Recreational Cheerleading. She was Cheerleading Director for Riverdale Parks and Recreation in 1993 and 1994. She assisted with the cheerleading program at Jonesboro Parks and Recreation for 3 years. Due to her kids being in competitive sports since they were 5 years old, she is able to bring the experience of  “a parents view” during staff meetings or any other time she feels necessary. Mindi states, “My General Manager, Paul Littlejohn and I have an agreement he runs the gym floor and I run the lobby and office. I let the coaches do their job, coach. I want to thank all the parents and staff for their continued support. And yes we are building a bigger facility!”

Paul Littlejohn

worldxtreme@comcast.net

Paul Littlejohn is the General Manager for World Xtreme and is our Men’s Gymnastics Head Coach. He also coaches our fantastic Kinder Viper boy’s program, beginner and intermediate boy’s classes, and our Men’s competitive teams. Paul has been coaching gymnastics for 16 years, beginning at the age of 18. He is safety certified through USAG. He has experience in coaching Women’s compulsory (levels 2-6) and optional (levels 7-10) teams. Although he loves coaching both the women and men’s programs, he really enjoys heading the men’s program, which he started from scratch since arriving in Georgia back in 1999. He coaches boys as young as 2 all the way up to 19 years old. Much of his success in working with kids comes from 4 years of assistant teaching for Pre School and Kindergarten.

Coach Paul boasts many achievements while coaching in Georgia, including being selected as the 2002-2003 Georgia Men’s Coach Of The Year. He has several State Event Team Champions, 15 All Around State Champions, and 6 State Team Champions. He has coached a number of boys to the Regional Championships, which resulted in several top finishes including 5 All Around Champion for level 9 and 3 for level 10. World Xtreme was excited to announce that in our first year of operation we got our first National Qualifier, Devon Slaughter.

Coach Paul states, “My athletes are trained to achieve set mental and physical goals as well as learning the importance of following through with commitments. I believe that by helping others to progress in life, I progress as well.”
